Delete your account
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This page explains how to delete your WorthSync account — the app published by Hallows Group LLC for iOS, Android and the web — and what happens to your data when you do.
Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app
This is immediate and needs no support ticket.
- Sign in at app.worthsync.com, or open the WorthSync mobile app and go to Settings → Privacy & data.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
Your account and its records are removed and you are signed out. This cannot be undone, so export your data first if you want to keep a copy.
If you are the last admin of a household with other members, the request is blocked until you promote another member to admin. This protects the other people in your household from losing access to a workspace with no administrator. Promote someone in Household → Members, then delete.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it
If you cannot sign in, email support@worthsync.com from the address on your WorthSync account with the subject Account deletion request. We will verify that you own the account and complete the deletion within 30 days, and sooner where the law requires it.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your sign-in identity, name and email address.
- Every account and institution you created, and every balance snapshot in your ledger.
- Goals, debt plans, projections, emergency-fund and property records, insurance policies, and anything stored in the vault.
- Your household membership, preferences, notification settings and device push tokens.
Any active subscription is cancelled as part of the same request — you do not need to cancel separately.
What is retained, and for how long
- Nothing personal, beyond 30 days. Personal and financial data is deleted or de-identified within 30 days of the request.
- Backups are purged on a rolling schedule, so a copy may persist in an encrypted backup for a short period after your data is removed from the live system.
- Limited records we are legally required to keep — payment and invoice records held by our payment processor for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations. These are retained for the period the applicable law requires and are not used for anything else.
- Data owned by other people. If you shared accounts with a household, records that another member created remain theirs and stay with the household. Only your own records are deleted.
Deleting only some of your data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Individual accounts, snapshots, goals and policies can be deleted from within the app at any time, and archiving an account hides it from entry while keeping its history. Use Settings → Privacy & data for the full-account option only.
